Project Overview

Roberts Communications Network contracted Broadcast Management Group to provide engineering and design support and system integration services for their new 45,000 square foot Network Operations Center in Henderson, NV. The Roberts Communication Network facility includes a 22-dish satellite farm, an equipment room with 96 racks of equipment, a network operations center with a 60-monitor video wall, and 8 master control rooms. Broadcast Management Group was responsible for creating all the system wiring drawings, wire run lists, and cut sheets. The system includes HD/SDI, fiber, ASI, L-Band, IP Video, network, VoIP, and RF signals. Over 25,000 cables were required to complete the new facility. The AutoCAD package included over 200 engineering wiring drawings.

As part of our system integration services, Broadcast Management Group’s engineering team physically created, tested, and ran all necessary cables needed to complete the project. This required close attention to detail to ensure we had all necessary cables accounted for. Broadcast Management Group created all cabling at our Las Vegas office.

Broadcast Management Group’s Vice President of Engineering and our west coast Production Engineer worked on completion of the facility upgrade for Roberts Communication Network. Our in-house engineering team handled everything from the technical drawings and CAD diagrams to the creation, testing, and running of all audio, video, and data cables.
