Naz is a key member of Broadcast Management Group’s Engineering, Design and Installation team. Like other team members, Naz has years of broadcast production experience as an operator, as well as an extensive engineering design and installation background.

We at BMG believe that to be the best combination of skill sets to serve our clients with practical, functional and ergonomically ideal solutions for their production facilities. Our team prides itself on building facilities that each of us would want to operate in every day.

Naz is a first-generation immigrant from Germany who came to the U.S. at age 18. After studying Media in college and successfully completing her internship she made the career choice to work in the broadcasting industry. First in Northern California, running TV cameras and wiring up television stations, and then later as a news photographer for Associated Press, Las Vegas Review Journal, The Arizona Independent and other papers in Arizona.

Naz’ parents were artistic (a painter and a writer) and always stressed education as well as broadening your horizons by traveling. Throughout her broadcast career Naz continued to take more college classes in electronic/technical and engineering fields, and as television changed over time, she began to shift to computer sciences and got certified in the Adobe Suite programs, as well as in AutoCAD.

At Sony Electronics Naz’ drafting skills were honed to be able to produce broadcast-specific technical documentation packages, from floor plans and elevations to complex signal flow drawings. The time spent at Sony’s CAD department brought valuable insight to how successful facilities are engineered, and when Naz got advanced to Installation Supervisor at Sony Systems Integration Division (SID) it proved invaluable. Naz traveled with various installation teams to effort large build-out projects for DirecTV, the new Guggenheim in NYC, A SkyB in Gilbert, Arizona and many more.

Naz joined forces with Megan Kirst at Global Video in San Jose to service and build broadcast facilities, network centers, flight packs, OB Vans and 4K UltraHD production trucks for Harris Automation, Akamai Streaming Network, PBS, F-Secure, NASA, Department of Defense and more. Having built racks for the military, Naz acquired grounding and bonding techniques of the NEC and CE code to certify racks and equipment for Medical, Clean Room and Military clients with strict grounding requirements.

The trip of a lifetime came in 2003: Running a 4-year long mobile roadshow across this country on assignment for the National Park Service. Naz takes pride in creating beautifully wired high-density racks but also enjoys documenting these racks in wire-lists and synoptic drawings.

At Broadcast Management Group Naz works on a variety of projects from live productions to BMG’s numerous facility design and installation projects. Naz is instrumental in BMG’s system integration division’s drafting department.

Naz’ quest for healthy living is ongoing, she enjoys running, cycling, judo and gardening. She is a hands-on person who appreciates working in high-tech multi-media and the creative world. At Broadcast Management Group we are proud to have Naz as part of our team.
