  • Basketball - Primary line producer for Chicago Bulls pregame, halftime, and postgame show for 4 seasons for NBC Sports Chicago
  • Basketball - Pregame and postgame shows ranged from 30-60 minutes. Halftime was 3 quick segments with highlights (50-60 games a season)
  • Basketball - Extensive experience covering the overall NBA, including writing articles for the NBC website and producing highlights and packages for news shows

Justin O’Neil has degrees in Newspaper Journalism and Political Science from the University of Missouri. After college, Justin served as a reporter and editor at the 2008 Beijing Summer Olympics before joining Comcast SportsNet Chicago.


During Justin’s 9 years with CSN Chicago, he worked primarily in live production. He served as the lead producer of Chicago Bulls pregame, halftime and postgame shows for the last 4 seasons, as well as covering NHL, NFL and MLB games. He also covered three Blackhawks Stanley Cup titles and the Cubs 2016 World Series win, including attending games 5, 6 and 7 as a fan.

Outside of the studio, Justin was a part of NBC’s production team for the 2016 and 2018 Olympics, and won an Outstanding Achievement for Sports Programs Emmy Award for “A Journey To Cambodia.”

At Broadcast Management Group Justin is a line producer, for a number of daily live broadcast shows produced by Broadcast Management Group. Justin is also part of the BMG development team developing new show formats for its clients.

In his free time Justin enjoys watching and playing soccer, traveling, and talking himself into the idea that this is the Chicago Bears’ season.
