Production and Administrative Production Assistant

Job Summary:

Broadcast Management Group (BMG) is looking for a Marketing and Administrative Production Assistant to support the marketing efforts of BMG and its clients. This position will also provide administrative support for the CEO. Our ideal candidate is a college student or recent graduate with a major in marketing and/or television production. This position requires strong organizational skills, sharp verbal and written communication skills. Our ideal candidate must be a detail-oriented, innovative self-starter with a great work ethic, ability to take initiative.


  • Write and proof marketing copy and correspondences
  • Post weekly social media content
  • Track schedules and deliverables of client work
  • Develop client presentations
  • Conduct market research
  • Manage databases
  • Schedule and track client deliverables
  • Book local, national and international freelance crews
  • Create and maintain weekly schedules for full-time employees and freelance crews
  • Maintain and expand BMG’s existing freelance database
  • Track PTO requests for all full-time employees and book fill-in freelancers as needed
  • Book freelance crews as needed in short turn-around situations when full-time staff call out sick
  • Create and distribute crew paperwork, including employment agreements, contractor agreements, withholding forms and enrollment forms
  • Assist with production schedules
  • Schedule travel
  • Proof correspondences
  • Filing and record keeping
  • Serve as the primary point-person and liaison between BMG’s full-time employees, BMG’s executive team and BMG’s client
  • Handle BMG’s new hire on-boarding process
  • Collect and review electronic timesheets weekly
  • Assist with screening job applicants
  • Manage internship programs
  • Work to schedule regular events for employees – including happy hours, lunches, etc.


  • Social media savvy
  • Digital marketing and social media management skills
  • Experience with production scheduling
  • Budgeting skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint)
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and ability to take initiative
  • Attention to detail, strong follow-through and the demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Ability to travel when needed
