Broadcast Management Group recently provided production staffing support for national marketing and PR firm, Edelman. The multi-day, multi-city event was to support Edelman’s client, Dupont, for their “Tiny Home” activation. As the name suggests, the event showcased a tiny house that was fabricated and finished using largely Dupont products. The home was delivered to multiple cities, where our crews were responsible for re-constructing the home, then striking and packing it up the following day.
The first two stops for the activation were Atlanta, GA and Troutman, NC – just outside Charlotte. In each city, Edelman was seeking 3-person production staff consisting of a Scenic Carpenter and two Stagehands to support the build-out and strike. Our production staffing team was awarded the contract only 6 days before the first event stop in Atlanta, so we had to move quickly. We combed our database and contacted qualified freelancers in both Atlanta and Charlotte. Once we identified potential talent, we conducted phone interviews with each person to review the scope of the project and ensure they had a clear understanding of their role and the goals and objectives of the event.
For the Tiny Home project, having an event management background helped us in crewing the project, as we knew what skill sets to look for and where to find talent. If you’re in need of production staffing services for an upcoming project, we’d be happy to help.
